Since 2009, there have been new audit requirements for 403(b) plans.  The audited financial statements attached to the Form 5500 filings have brought new visibility and reviews from the Department of Labor.  We will provide insights into features unique to 403(b) plans.  We will discuss issues found during the audits of 403(b) plans, inquiries made by the Department of Labor related to audits of 403(b) plans and solutions to getting them into compliance.
