Target Date Funds
Considerations for Plan Fiduciaries

Thursday, March 20, 2014

7:30-9:30 a.m.

*Same building, new name! Doors open at 7:30 a.m. for check-in, breakfast and networking. The presentation will begin at 8 a.m.

Reservation deadline Friday, March 14,2014.

Over the last several years, the business of target date fund selection has rocketed from merely picking the funds of the plan provider to pouring over a dizzying array of company, plan and investment analytics.  Somewhere in between, there’s an appropriate balance in finding the right approach for your plan.  Our speaker will discuss how plan fiduciaries should approach target date fund selection and ongoing monitoring.  The discussion will include such topics as the evolving regulatory landscape, active versus passive, fees, buy or build, and selecting the best index for performance measurement.

This program will be of particular interest to:

ü       Plan Sponsors of qualified retirement plans who want to keep up with the latest DOL requirements affecting those plans

ü       Plan Fiduciaries who want to gain a better understanding of their responsibilities.

ü       Service Providers to qualified retirement plans and 403(b) plans

ü       Financial advisors who want to enhance their ability to provide quality services to their clients.

ü       CPAs who audit qualified plans and/or advise clients regarding their qualified plans

ü       All Benefits Professionals who are interested in participating in a high-quality educational forum and want to benefit from the knowledge and experience of other benefits professionals in the Orange County benefits community.
